Overview

The Adventure that Beats All Adventures
Jumping off a AS350 B3 chopper from the height of 23000ft, just below Everest; and landing at the Himalayan dreamlands Syangboche (12340ft) and Amadablam Basecamp (15000ft); is undeniably the most thrilling aerial adventure in the world. The adrenaline rush, the eye-feasting view of the picturesque Sherpa settlement, the back drop of world’s highest peak Mt. Everest, along with other equally petrifying sister peaks, and the whole alpine experience, what else can an adventure seeker dream in a lifetime.

Ranked as one of the most Elite Adventure Holidays and “Things to do before you die” by CNN, Forbes and many others, it has remained a dream event for many Adventure Seekers ever since it started in 2008. This one and only adventure takes place only once a year in October/November. About 350 jumps have been done with Solo or Tandem attempts since then. In 2017 alone, we did 29 Jumps in Syangboche (27 solo and 2 tandem), and 65 jumps in Pokhara. Continuing its glorious history, the eleventh edition of Everest Skydive is being held from 6th to 16th November 2018. If you wish to pump up your adrenaline in the most incredible way, join us in this Ultimate Adventure on the Top of the World!

Should you wish to further explore the magnificent region of Everest, you also have the option to join our 9-day extension trek to Everest Base Camp.

Itinerary

Day 1: Arrive Kathmandu/ Transfer to Hotel

You will be received on your arrival at Tribhuwan International Airport in Kathmandu and transferred to your hotel which will be perfect for relaxing and recuperating from your flight. You will be briefed in the evening and will have time to be familiar with your fellow members.

Day 2: Sightseeing and familiarization in Kathmandu

Kathmandu Valley is the historical and cultural epicenter of Nepal and well contended for having 7 UNESCO World heritage sites. No visitors can hold themselves from relishing the elegance of the valley. The city offers a wonderful concoction of Hinduism, Tibetan Buddhism and Western influence in its immediate vicinity. There will be a guided tour to the famous and biggest Hindu shrine Pashupatinath, and the holiest Buddhist site Boudhanath and architectural wonder Patan Durbar Square. Afterwards you will pack your soft mountain bags, which will be given to you, and leave your excess material in the hotel until you return from your expedition.

Day 3: Fly to Lukla (2,900m) / Trek to Phakding(2,656m)

The flight to Lukla, Solu Khumbu (the main gateway to Mt Everest – 29,035ft) takes about 45 minutes. In Lukla, you will meet your trek support team which will accompany you throughout your trip. Once all the large kit bags and equipment have been allocated to porters and yaks, we start walking along the Dudh Khosi Valley close to the river, and slowly meander up and down well-constructed paths through the villages to Phakding, where you will spend night in one of the comfortable local lodges like Star Lodge and Sunrise Lodge.

Day 4: Trek to Namche (3,450m)

After a morning call, you will have breakfast. Once dressed, we recommend you to pack before breakfast so that the porters can get under way as soon as they are ready. From Phakding, we crisscross the rivers on high suspension bridges to Monjo, which marks the entrance of the Sagarmatha National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site.
We then take a steep long trek to Namche Bazaar (3,450m), the main trading capital in Khumbu. Namche has a busy Saturday market a meeting place for the lowland and highland traders. You will be surprised to see all sorts of amenities of comfort in this far-flung region. You will spend night in well- facilitated hotel catering to your all needs.

Day 5: Rest day in Namche (3,450m)

Namche is tucked away between two ridges amidst the giant peaks of the Khumbu and has an abundance of lodges, tea houses and souvenir shops as well as a magnificent outlook that seems to meet western standards. Well, the experience can be amazing as you will witness the miniature of whole Himalayan life at its bloom. It is an ideal place to spend a day to acclimatize to your newly gained altitude. Options for acclimatization walks include a visit to the Khunde hospital, which was set-up by Sir Edmund Hillary, or an hour walk up for the sunset view of Ama Dablam, Nuptse, Lhotse and Everest. You will meet the ‘advanced party’ of management staff and crew, who may well have left Kathmandu to trek before you.

Day 6: Trek to Syangboche (3,810m) / Jump Day

Syangboche Airport is just a 45 minute walk from Namche Bazar. With the unpaved runway length of 400m, it is the highest point to reach to Everest by aircraft. Though not licensed for commercial operations, the airstrip is operated for short take off and landing for chartered flights. The place is proud to be one of the dropping zones for Everest Skydive.
The management staff and crew will meet and brief you, and familiarize you with the equipment and routines that will apply to the drop zone during the parachuting program. The familiarization and briefings will be for both solo and tandem jumpers. Solo jumpers will do familiarization jumps from the AS 350 B3 Helicopter. After your whole day of bustle, you will end up by relaxing in one of the prime hotels of Syanboche like Hotel Panorama or Everest View.

Day: 7 – 10 Jump days

Now we are all prepared for our Big Day! With Mt. Everest witnessing the whole event, Everest Skydive will take place on these days from the height of 29,500ft. You will exit with your tandem instructor and aerial cameraman or jumpmaster. The Director of Parachuting Operations will plan the jump days by considering the weather window and safety.

Day 10: Fly to Kathmandu

You will be transferred to Lukla by Helicopter from where you take a plane to Kathmandu. The rest of day is free for your personal activities.

Day 11: Depart Kathmandu

Our representative will escort you to the airport for your flight back home.
